DeQueen post office mural
De Queen, Sevier County

Henry Simon first sketched a logging scene for De Queen, but townspeople worried it showed only one industry, so his 1943 mural shows wildlife instead: quail, turkey, deer, a heron and two men restocking a stream with fish. Logs on the far bank and a fire tower nod to the timber business. It still hangs in the De Queen post office.
