El Dorado High School Gymnasium
Union County
El Dorado's school district spent five years trying to get New Deal money for a gym. The WPA finally approved $24,518 in December 1939, and this Art Deco gym by architect John B. Abbot went up in 1940. It now sits on South Arkansas College's West Campus.
