Hope Girl Scout Little House
Hope, Hempstead County

Hope had four Girl Scout troops in the late 1930s and nowhere to meet, so the WPA helped build this log "Little House" in Fair Park in 1938 and 1939. Girl Scout Little Houses started with a model home built behind the White House in 1923.
