Piggott post office mural
Piggott, Clay County
Dan Rhodes painted "Air Mail" for Piggott in 1941. A townsperson hands a letter to the postmaster, who helps pilots load mailbags onto a waiting plane, a picture of how airmail connected small rural towns to the wider world. It still hangs in the Piggott post office.
