Shady Lake Picnic Pavilion
Mena, Polk County

Men of Camp Shady's 742nd Company, the same CCC company that built the Shady Lake dam, built this picnic pavilion around 1940 as part of the lake's public recreation area. Their stone bridges, finished in December 1936, carry the road around the lake.
