Woman’s Progressive Club
Wynne, Cross County

Wynne's Woman's Progressive Club, the town's first civic group, founded in 1913, used WPA help to build this white brick clubhouse between 1935 and 1937 to hold its library and an auditorium. The project stalled in 1936 when a WPA crew was ordered off the job. Preservationists have called it one of the finest WPA designs in Arkansas.
